A little about chef Robert Michael
With over 30 years of culinary experience and many years of travelling, my cooking style has many influences, including those of vibrant food cultures worldwide. I have also had the privilege of working with highly decorated chefs in award-winning restaurants and renowned kitchens across the globe. Before the launch of Flavour and Wine, I spent many years working in award-winning restaurants in the bustling seaside village of St Ives here in Cornwall. My efforts were recognised with annual mentions in the MICHELIN Guide, and I won the Best Café award at the Food Readers Awards 2020. Having a passion for food and growing up in Cornwall, I naturally developed a love for seafood, which I honed further during my travels and working in Australia, Thailand, and India, refining my skills and techniques. My culinary journey has equipped me with a deep understanding of various cooking techniques, enabling me to adapt to even the most complex dietary requirements without compromising the flavour.
